FIREWALLS – YOUR COMPUTER’S SAFETY-FREEWARE

Hello my reader folks, hope your health wellness,

Security is the major concern of all the folks using laptops and desktops whatever version is used by them. In this writing I am sharing my knowledge about some of the firewalls which are available free on the internet. The web may be free, but we all know that to safely bank online, buy music, software, or books, or even simply surf the web, there is a price to pay. To combat online threats, firewall, anti-virus and anti-spyware software have become essential investments for any home or business computer. These programs monitor and control system access and scan and remove your system of malicious or spying software. Some of them which I found useful are here as under:-

  1.  Zone Alarm (zonealarm) –  A freeware which is Antivirus along with the firewall and is useful in stopping attacks from outside and leakage from inside. It is helpful in anti phishing. It works compatibly with windows defender but other antivirus and anti-malwares do not fits good with this zone alarm software.
  2. COMODO (comodo) It is an antivirus which is for sure not available free, but firewall of comodo is freebie and can be used for better personal computers safety.it blocks attacks from outside, and it has a malware detector that’s better than some antivirus systems
  3. Private Firewall (Privacyware) It provides tabs of info you go through to specify programs getting permission to talk to the outside, with plenty of explanation for end users about what’s happening.a proactive, multi-layered defense solution for Windows desktops and servers.
  4. Tinywall (Tinywall) it’ll block almost all communication until you whitelist the programs you need.Designed as an enhancement, not a replacement, for your existing Windows built-in firewall, the small TinyWall does everything it needs to harden your PC against attacks.

Hope this may prove useful

Hello my dear reader, Hope you are fine

In this writing,I am going to share about latest update from NASA, well I don’t think anybody not aware of NASA.the space exploration arm of United States. Engineers at NASA write  programs for the benefit of National Aeronautics and Space Administration. Some of the softwares are later been distributed as Open Source Softwares for the benefit of public.First installment of softwares was open for public distribution in April 2014 and now NASA has just published its 2017-2018 software catalog which is the third installment of the software. The software list comes both in hard copy and offline format.

Steve Jurczyk, an associate administrator for NASA’s Space Technology Mission Directorate (STMD) in Washington, informed that the software catalog is their way of supporting the innovation economy by granting access to tools to the entrepreneurs, small businesses, academia, and industry.”which is used by today’s top aerospace professionals.

“Access to these software codes has the potential to generate tangible benefits that create American jobs, earn revenue and save lives.”

Dan Lockney, NASA’s Technology Transfer program executive, claimed that Softwares had played a significant role in NASA’s mission successes and scientific discoveries “Software has been a critical component of each of NASA’s mission successes and scientific discoveries. In fact, more than 30 percent of all reported NASA innovations are software.”
